I will start using Kali Linux and try it's attacks and it's different applications, is it better to graphically install it or live running it?

Live running gives you access to utilize all your system resources to full , and if you graphically installing it on your base machine its same as live running, if you are going for vm that is different with few limitations

yes you can install applications graphically through inbuilt installation manager. or its better to use kali tools in ubuntu if you like GUI interface.
