So many students preparing for IITJEE have the same doubt again and again: "Which are the best books/guides to use?" As a professor with 15 years of JEE coaching experience in maths and physics, I can say:M L Khanna alone will do for maths. And for physics,G C Agrawal vol.1 and 2(of G R Bathla publications,Meerut)alone will do.Of course.class room learning is a must. For many years,I have been teaching and making students to read and practice only from these books and able to turn out top rankers. Of course H C Verma is a pioneering book,but will not be able to give sufficient practice to the students,G C Agrawal is best in this respect, With regard to M L Khanna.there is no better book, There is no need to use several books.One best book in each subject is more than sufficient.Plus solve all past papers.This will assure you top success.(provided you learn well what is taught by the coaching faculty and by the books) With regard to chemistry,I am not competent to suggest the best book/books.
For Chemistry OP Tandon of GRB Publications is highly recommended.
