Tapas Ranjan Bandyopadhyay

I am holding B. Sc (Hons. in Chemistry, B. Ed, B. Sc. (Engg) in Metallurgical Engg. with distinction from NIT - Jamshedpur, M. Tech in Ferrous Process Technology and PhD in Metallurgical and Materials Technology both from IIT -Bombay.
I worked as a Senior Lecturer in Metallurgy at NIT - Durgapur (20 yrs), Visiting Faculty at Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute at Bhubaneswar , Odisha (6 yrs); Visiting Faculty both at National Power Training Institute, Durgapur and Guwahati; Institute of Engineers at Durgapur. I also worked as a Professor in Metallurgy at Defence University, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for three years on contract.
I also have almost 8 yrs Industrial Experience in Steel Making through EAF, Production of Silicon Metal through Submerged Arc Furnace, Refining of steel through Electro-Slag Refining.
My last assignment was with Rwanda Engineering and Manufacturing corporation at Kigali in Rwanda as a Metallurgical Consultant for four years.
