There are already many Content Management Systems (CMS) like Wordpress, Drupal, Magento, Joomla, etc., which help you create a blogging site. If you are fond of asp.net then you could asp.net based Content Management Systems like DotNetNuke, Umbraco, Kentico CMS, etc.. If you still wanna write your blogging website in asp.net without using any CMS then there is no problem in doing so. But, why waste time by writing all of that huge amount of code when you can do the same in a faster way by using a CMS. So, my suggestion is that if you like to code in asp.net and would like to create a blogging website then you should start developing your website using Umbraco. Yes It is. You have to maintain lot of data in database for blogging website. ASP. Net with any DB is good option
