I have a really good idea for a social networking website, I am halfway through developing it in C#, but how do I manage traffic and storage?

I assume storage means you are talking about database.You can always you My Sql or Sql server. Regarding traffic to your website: Always use Stored procedures than inline queries. In the finally block close all the database connections. Do not use much of threads. Do not use cursor in the database side,instead use while loop Use Angular JS for UI design which light weight. Create CSS files separately, do not use the fonts in the page level, keep everything in CSS files. Do not use much of session variable instead use viewstate if the data capturing has to be done in the same page. read less
