I am an English Literature teacher with around 3 years of teaching experience, and I teach students of Classes 11 and 12 as well as BA students. I specialise in helping learners understand literary concepts, analyse texts, and develop a deeper appreciation of literature. My focus is on making complex literary ideas easier to understand while helping students improve their academic performance and analytical skills.

I hold a Doctor of Philosophy in English Literature, which has provided me with an extensive academic foundation in the subject. My specialisation and academic experience have strengthened my understanding of literary texts, concepts, interpretation, and analysis. I use this subject knowledge to guide students through their coursework and help them approach literature with greater clarity.

During my teaching experience, I have worked with students at both school and undergraduate levels. I understand that English Literature requires students to look beyond the surface of a text and develop the ability to interpret themes, characters, ideas, language, and literary techniques. I therefore focus on helping students understand not just what a text says, but also how and why it communicates its ideas.

I follow a structured lesson plan for each class and organise topics in a logical manner. I explain concepts clearly and then encourage students to participate in discussions about the texts and topics being studied. I believe interactive discussion is particularly valuable in literature because it allows students to explore different interpretations and develop their own analytical perspective.

I also encourage students to ask questions and actively participate during the sessions. When discussing a literary work, I try to break down difficult concepts into simpler parts and use relevant explanations and examples to make them easier to understand. This approach helps students gradually develop confidence in analysing literature and expressing their thoughts about what they read.

For students preparing for school or university examinations, I focus on developing a clear understanding of the prescribed material and helping them approach literary analysis systematically. I encourage students to understand the key ideas and supporting details so that they can develop stronger answers rather than relying entirely on memorised responses.

I conduct classes both online and offline and use PPT presentations and a whiteboard to support my explanations. My goal is to create an environment where students can engage meaningfully with literature, ask questions freely, and develop stronger analytical and academic skills. I want my students to approach English Literature with greater confidence and a clearer understanding of the subject.
