Vishwajeet Singh

I am a journalist by profession and a teacher at heart.
My journey with teaching began when I was in Class 8. Coming from a middle-class family, teaching younger children was initially a way for me to contribute financially. But over time, I realized that teaching was much more than a source of income. It was also one of the best ways for me to learn.
I have been teaching students younger than me since school and later started helping my peers and classmates who struggled with their subjects. I often taught them for free because teaching others also helped me revise and develop a much deeper understanding of the topics myself.
I have never been a student who believed in simply memorising textbooks for examinations. My interest has always been in understanding concepts, connecting them with the real world and explaining them in simple language. I developed a particular interest in Social Sciences, especially Geography.

Over the years, I have helped several students prepare for examinations and progress in their education. I have also been a gold medalist in multiple competitive examinations.
I was preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, but eventually had to take up a full-time job to support my family. For the past five years, I have worked as a journalist with major news organisations in India and abroad. Journalism has further strengthened my ability to research, analyse information, simplify complex subjects and connect what we study with what is actually happening around us.

Now, I want to give one final push to my old dream of preparing for the UPSC. And what better way to do that than by teaching, learning, and earning at the same time?

My approach to teaching is simple. I don't want students to merely memorise answers. I want them to understand why the answer makes sense.

I am particularly good at breaking down complex topics into simple and relatable concepts. Whether it is Geography, History, Polity or other areas of Social Science, I try to connect classroom learning with current affairs, everyday experiences and the world around us.

If you are looking for a tutor who will not just help your child prepare for examinations, but also help them develop curiosity, understand concepts deeply and see how what they study connects with the real world, I would be happy to be that tutor.
