Viraj Singh

With over 15 years of teaching and performance experience, I specialize in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music and Guitar. My musical foundation combines academic training and traditional guru-shishya parampara, allowing me to offer a well-rounded and authentic learning experience.

I hold a Prabhakar diploma (equivalent to graduation in music) from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, now Prayag University, and a Master’s degree in Music. I’ve trained under Pt. Lal Bahadur Mandal ji of the Rampur Gharana, which deeply influences my vocal style and teaching.

Over the years, I’ve taught students across all levels—from complete beginners to advanced learners—guiding them toward stage performances, music competitions, and formal music exams. Many have successfully cleared certifications and progressed to higher studies in music. I also prepare students for certificate-based music exams and help them develop performance-ready skills.

My classes are available both online and offline, tailored to individual and group needs. I incorporate theory, voice training, expression, and instrumental skills into my lessons, ensuring a deep connection to the music.

One of the highlights of my journey has been my teaching experience at the National School of Drama (NSD), where I worked with actors to explore the powerful relationship between music and theatrical expression. I continue to perform in classical concerts and cultural events, keeping my practice alive and enriching my students with live experience insights.
