I have over 2 years of experience teaching primary-level students at Green Apple Learning School, where I was responsible for supporting students in their academic, social, and overall development. This experience helped me develop strong skills in teaching, lesson planning, classroom management, student engagement, communication, and understanding individual learning needs. During my teaching experience, I taught primary classes and handled subjects including English, Hindi, Mathematics, Environmental Studies (EVS), and basic General Knowledge. I focused on explaining concepts in a simple, clear, and child-friendly manner according to students’ individual learning abilities. I regularly prepared lesson plans, worksheets, classwork, homework, practice exercises, revision activities, and assessments based on the curriculum and students’ academic levels. To make learning engaging and effective, I used different teaching methods such as storytelling, real-life examples, interactive discussions, visual aids, educational activities, and hands-on classroom tasks. I encouraged students to actively participate in lessons and organised simple creative and educational activities that supported learning while developing their confidence, communication, teamwork, and interest in studies. I regularly monitored students’ academic progress, classroom participation, behaviour, and overall development. I checked their classwork and homework, conducted tests and assessments, and identified areas where individual students needed additional support. For students who faced difficulty understanding certain concepts, I provided individual attention, additional explanations, practice exercises, and remedial support according to their needs. I was also responsible for maintaining a positive, disciplined, and supportive classroom environment. I encouraged students to ask questions, express themselves confidently, and participate in classroom activities. Along with academic learning, I helped students develop values such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, respect, and confidence. Regular communication with parents was another important part of my role. I shared information regarding students’ academic performance, behaviour, participation, progress, and areas requiring improvement. I also maintained records related to students’ work, performance, attendance, and overall development. In addition to regular teaching responsibilities, I supported school activities and day-to-day classroom management whenever required. Working closely with primary students strengthened my patience, adaptability, communication skills, and ability to understand different learning styles. Overall, my teaching experience has provided me with a strong understanding of primary education and child-centred teaching. It has helped me learn how to simplify concepts, engage students, provide individual support, manage classrooms effectively, and contribute to the academic and personal development of young learners.
