S. Mohana

While I were a convent school teacher, I had attained proficient with basics of carnatic music. Later I started teaching basics to students during weekends. Later I took Central Govt. job and alonside pursued my higher degree in vocal music from Delhi University. I have been singing in Concerts at Delhi and at Tamil Sangam at Delhi and concerts conducted by Music Education Trust and Nadabrahmam at Chennai too. . As teaching is a noble profession and I have developed a craving for teaching which not only gives peace of mind but also enhances one's practising skills, I continue to teach students basics like Saralivarisai, Jhanta Varisai, Dhatu, Hechusthayi varisaigal, Alankaram, Swarajatis, Geetham, Varnam and Kriti which includes Raga alapana and Kalpana Swara aspects too. I have atended to various workshos of Gurus Shri T.V. Gopalakrishnan, Prof. T.R. Subramaniam and short term course "training in Post Pallavi" items conducted by Delhi University. Also workshops and voice culture training conducted by Music Education Trust, Rasika Priya in Rohini etc.
