IdentityI am passionate about teaching Mathematics and Psychology to students from 9th to 12th grade across various educational boards, including CBSE, ICSE, state boards, and IGCSE. With over four years of experience in the field, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the different curricula and the unique needs of my students. My academic background includes a Master’s in Mathematics and a B.Ed., which have equipped me with the skills to deliver effective lessons that resonate with learners.
Since 2020, I have been working at Shiksha Bharati School and Delhi Mount Abu School, where I have not only taught mathematics but also taken on the role of Head of the Department (HOD). My responsibilities include overseeing the mathematics curriculum and mentoring fellow teachers, which has given me a deeper insight into educational leadership. I am currently teaching part-time, allowing me to balance my professional commitments while continuing to engage with students and foster their love for learning.
I conduct both online and offline classes, with each session lasting one hour. My lessons are carefully structured around a lesson plan that outlines the topics we will cover and the objectives for each class. This organized approach ensures that students can track their progress and understand what to expect from each session. I utilize a whiteboard to illustrate complex concepts, making them easier to grasp and more visually engaging.
To support my students' learning, I provide comprehensive notes that summarize key points from our lessons, which serve as valuable study aids. Additionally, I record my classes, allowing students to revisit the material at their own pace. I believe that revisiting recorded videos is an excellent way for students to reinforce their understanding and clarify any doubts they may have after our live sessions.
In my teaching practice, I prioritize creating a supportive and interactive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their thoughts. Mathematics can sometimes be challenging, but I strive to make it an enjoyable subject by relating concepts to real-life situations and encouraging students to think critically. I also incorporate elements of psychology into my lessons, especially when teaching psychology in class 12, to help students understand the underlying theories and their applications.
