For a doctor its very important to get the basic concepts i.e. the basic pillars of rest of the medicine. Anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and pathology. Rest of the medicine adds upon these basic pillars. My experience in teaching under-graduate students is 2 years. To make them understand the basic concepts without mugging up is my target approach, so that they can build up a strong knowledge of medicine.
