The Urdu Language Struggle: Teaching Urdu today is a fight for literacy over sentiment. While many students "love" the language as a cultural marker, few actually read it fluently. The experience often involves using poetry quoting classical masters like Mir Taqi Mir or Allama Iqbal to bridge the gap between their modern identity and their heritage.
