I am a passionate and dedicated tabla instructor with a strong foundation in Hindustani Classical Percussion Music. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Hindustani Classical Tabla from Ramjas College, University of Delhi, which has deepened my understanding of the tabla and enriched my teaching practice. Professional Teaching Roles: •Tabla Faculty at Bhimeshwari Sangeet Vidyalaya: I am currently teaching at Bhimeshwari Sangeet Vidyalaya, an institution affiliated with Prayag Sangeet Samiti Allahabad and Pracheen Kala Kendra Chandigarh. I am responsible for guiding students through the intricacies of tabla playing, preparing them for both academic exams and public performances. •Tabla Faculty at Classuzic Academy, Jasola Vihar, New Delhi: At Classuzic Academy, I am working with a diverse group of students. My teaching approach is tailored to each student’s individual learning pace, ensuring that they grasp both the technical skills and the expressive nuances of tabla. •Former Tabla Faculty at Siddhant Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Malviya Nagar: In my previous role at Siddhant Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, I was involved in developing the curriculum and delivering structured tabla lessons that adhere to classical traditions. I am proud of the progress my students made under my guidance, many of whom went on to perform in various events. •Former Music Faculty at Swiss Cottage School & V.H.S School, Gurugram, Haryana: I have also taught tabla in school settings, where I introduced students to the basics of tabla playing. I am particularly focused on fostering a deep appreciation for classical music among young learners. Accompanist Experience: • Tabla Accompanist with Samranjini - Indian Music Society of Gargi College, University Of Delhi: I am actively involved in performance as a tabla accompanist, collaborating with vocalists and instrumentalists in various recitals. This experience enhances my ability to teach students about the collaborative aspects of music, an essential skill for any aspiring musician. Workshop Involvement: • I am also involved in workshops organized by prestigious institutions such as Kendriya Vidyalaya schools in Kanpur-Lucknow, government schools of Punjab, and the Indian Institute of Nano Science & Technology, Mohali, under the banners of SPIC MACAY and Routes to Roots NGO. Through these workshops, I am able to share my knowledge with a broader audience, helping students from diverse backgrounds develop an interest in tabla. Teaching Philosophy: I am committed to the idea that learning the tabla is not just about mastering rhythms, but also about understanding the rich cultural heritage it represents. I aim to make each lesson a journey into the depths of Hindustani classical music, blending traditional teachings with modern methods to engage and inspire my students. Achievements as a Teacher: I am proud to say that my students have excelled in various competitions and performances, reflecting the effectiveness of my teaching methods. I have also been invited to serve as a judge in music competitions at the zonal level, organized by the Delhi government and other educational institutions, which I consider an honor and a testament to my expertise in the field.
