I have been teaching for more than 2 decades, in some of India's most prestigious Art/Design Institutes (at NIFT, APJ Inst Of Design, College of Art Delhi etc.) as permanent and visiting faculty apart from teaching individual students.
Currently teaching at College of Art, Delhi in Foundation and Painting department & Meerabai Inst. of Technology as Assistant Professor.
Teaching art /design is my passion & I love to share what all skills I have attained from my education and experience in my own creative journey.
I develop & shape the skills of my students which they already possess. For this sometimes I break their existing pattern and their own created barriers. I want my students to adapt creative outlook with problem-solving approach rather than copying or following others. I start and share through simple examples & basic lessons from life around us. I also use history of art, aesthetics, and various methods & materials as per the requirement and level of the student.
As a teacher, I like to nurture the basic understanding and widen vision about the area one chooses. Mostly I like to support with the skills required, polish imagination and work on develop the problem-solving approach.
I have experience in teaching for various age groups (ranging from 5 years to 75 yrs) but mostly teaching professionals and aspiring artist/designers and students those seeking admission to different art, design or architecture institutes in India or Abroad.
