I have been teaching for past two years and completed my student life recently. So I know exactly what triggers in students mind regarding maths subject for some its their favourite subject and for some their biggest nightmare.Mugging up formulas was a big problem to me as well and to almost everyone but I try to memorize them by logics that were derived by me or in some cases there was no need at all even to memorize. Most important part about providing any method is whether the second person will be able to apply it or not and that's the thing I have worked on. So, the concepts or logics I provide students, I make sure they are able to apply it and help them in the long run. To excel at maths one needs to enjoy it, so that's the trick. Teach students in a way that they start enjoying maths and rest they themselves can take care after it. Then they just require support and motivation from their teacher. As maths plays a very crucial role, concept building and logics must be corrected or improved at very early age so that they can perform well ahead if not corrected students do face a lot of problems during their 11th and 12th.
