Give regular hours on a daily basis to maths and science. For rest of the subjects schedule alternate days , particular hours for each subject. It's not about studying the whole day and night. Whatever you are studying ,learn it properly. Study less but whatever you are doing , you should do it properly.

It totally depends on you and the tutor. If you are comfortable with group study and there is a good coaching institute where proper attention is given to each student then go for the coaching institue.
And if you want a tution where the attention should be given just to you as you are not comfortable with group tutions then go for private tution.
Talking about self-study, if you have studied well in school and your teachers are really helpful, you can do studies on your own and can get the help of teachers for practicing the external reference books, then you can opt for self-study.
