Ishika

I am a French language tutor with around 3 years of teaching experience and an additional 3 years of corporate experience. I teach French to students at different learning levels, with a focus on building a strong foundation in the language and helping learners become confident in using French. My aim is to make language learning structured, interactive, and practical so that students can gradually improve their communication skills and use French comfortably.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts in 2023 from the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies, with French as my language specialization. My academic background has given me a strong understanding of the French language and has helped me develop the knowledge required to teach different aspects of the language effectively. Along with my academic learning, my teaching experience has helped me understand the challenges students commonly face while learning a new language.

Over the past 3 years, I have worked with students at different levels and helped them improve their vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and communication skills. I understand that every student learns at a different pace, so I try to adapt my teaching according to their current understanding and specific goals. Whether a student needs to strengthen their basics, improve their communication, or become more confident while speaking French, I focus on creating a learning process that is comfortable and effective.

My teaching methodology is interactive and student-focused. I conduct my classes lesson by lesson and follow a structured approach, ensuring that each concept is explained clearly before moving on to the next topic. I encourage students to actively participate in the class through conversations, questions, practice exercises, and discussions. This allows students to apply what they learn instead of simply memorising concepts.

I also use real-life examples to make French more practical and easier to understand. I believe that regular practice is important when learning a language, especially for developing vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and speaking skills. During my sessions, I encourage students to communicate, ask questions, practise new concepts, and gradually become more comfortable using French in different situations.

My 3 years of corporate experience have also contributed significantly to my professional skills. Working in a corporate environment has helped me develop strong communication, interpersonal, and professional skills. I bring this experience into my teaching by maintaining a professional yet approachable learning environment where students can comfortably express their doubts and actively participate in discussions.

I conduct my classes online and use PPT presentations and a digital whiteboard to support explanations and make the sessions more engaging. I believe in being patient and adaptable while teaching, and I make an effort to understand the learner's needs before planning the sessions. My goal is to help every student build a strong foundation in French, communicate more confidently, and develop practical language skills that they can continue to use and improve over time.
