I have just written my IELTS Academic exam to refresh myself with the pattern. Since I observed a lot of students struggling with the exam, I decided to give it myself and I scored an overall band of 7.5 on my recent attempt. I scored 8 on Listening, 8.5 in Reading, 7.5 on Writing and 6.5 on Speaking. Yes, I had a bad day on my speaking assessment day. I believe I have apprised myself well with the question types in each section and I can help candidates prepare for the test by guiding them to achieve their desired results. I recently wrote my GMAT and scored a Q49 in my Quant and 5.5 in AWA section. I have helped students from various backgrounds in getting conceptual clarity on individual topics. I have helped my peers in topics such as Arithmetic, Ratios and Proportions, Geometry and Percentages. They have been from a non-math background and I have seen them drastically improving their scores by working on individual topics with me. Anand, it really depends on how you learn the best. In-person one on one sessions is best when you are really struggling with the conceptual clarity of your subject after several previous attempts to try to understand it. 

However, if you can grab concepts without looking at your teacher's writing in your notebook, online sessions are much more convenient. I hope the answer helps.
