About us

School Magazines do appear not as a routine, but to commemorate some special event like Silver/Diamond /Golden jubilee functions, etc. more in a traditional form rather as a tool of learning. The curriculum in today?s era is ever expanding. Teachers feel as if they don?t have the time to encourage their students to express their feelings and educational experiences, on the other hand they complain that the students are not good at writing independently. In such a scenario, I feel this students chronicle will certainly bridge the gap and ignite the imagination power in kids to write freely about anything by sharing their learning which can also be called ?reflective writing?. This journal can also be a good resource for students to build their Critical thinking and reading skills level. The purpose of journal writing is for understanding and supporting the development of thinking. It can be said that Journaling charges curiosity as it can integrate students into their courses by sharing the best practices. The multi-grade content will certainly help the students in closing the ?achievement gap?. We are living in an age of ?accelerating change?. This chronicle will certainly take the students and teachers forward and shall provide a perfect platform to challenge the process of student learning. Children learning is not restricted from bell to bell. Children learn about 30% in the formal school spaces, wherein most of their learning happens outside the classroom through ?informal means?. This journal could be one of them, like to provide the kids an opportunity to excel on their own with ?minimum teacher intervention?. Any level of student right from Pre-K to P.G can write for this journal. This journal can become an important aspect in a student?s life. Journal writing is an effective teaching strategy to meet the educational goals. This can be used to highlight social issues as well. Kids who feel that they can write freely can create their own written material/ literature. The purpose of a student?s journal should be to get the kids think ?out of the box? by encouraging creative thinking. And once you get used to journalism, you will find it easier to organize your thoughts and think more creatively. There can be a whole lot of journalism ideas like 1. If you win a lottery, what will you do? 2. Why do you think some people don?t excise their right to vote? 3. My dream house 4. My first grade memories 5. The cartoon I like the most & why. 6. My Dad 7.My Mom 8. My Grandparents 9. How it feels to win or lose something/ someone 10. Describe Sundays at your house. 11. How do you keep your teachers happy? 12. Why I use a particular brand. Even non-writers can journal through ?drawings? and young students too can illustrate their responses as the journal is a safe place to try new ideas and is not restricted to a particular school. So this will have ?more benefits? as the idea is to learn the best practises happening in different schools. We are living in a ?Facebook era?, which promotes sharing. In contradiction to this, many of our school practices are a continuation of ?Victorian era?. So, I hope this journal will accelerate the change. Lastly, I hope that this encourages the children not only to subscribe but also share their ideas and learning. Mohammed Wahed Ali Editor in Chief SCHOOLS CHRONICLE

About me

I conduct media training with a purpose to create a band of barefoot journalists in the rural hinterland and small towns so that trainees develop their own independent media vehicles. I have developed a manual expressly designed as tools that are used to kindle and bring out the innate talent that exists within the communities they work with on writing mechanics and photography skills, so that they harness them for their own use by creating local media vehicles like wall newspapers and for documenting their endeavors.

Our mission is to blend theoretical concepts of the Journalism with lots of discussion relevant to the Entrance Examination like IIMC, JAMIA(MCRC), ACJ, Xavier, Symbiosis, MICA, FTII thereby providing meaningful education which contributes to the holistic development of the students. We believe in a teaching ? learning environment, which stimulates the lifelong success. Students are able to enrich their knowledge, competency and values through exciting lectures, interactive group discussions, presentations, test-series. Socrates said ?Quality is not an act but a habit ?and the same is believed and implemented in our coaching institute. Vision "We believe that we are on the face of the coaching institution to make best students for India?s top media schools. We are constantly focusing to provide them best study material. We believe in the simple not the complex. We believe that we need to have the best faculty, and participate only in fields where we can make a significant contribution. We believe in saying no to thousands of students, so that we can really focus on the few that are truly important and meaningful to us. We believe in deep collaboration and cross-pollination of our students, which allow us to regulate in a way that others cannot. And frankly, we don't settle for anything less than excellence in our institution, And I think regardless of who is in what job those values are so embedded in this institution that Vidya group of coaching will do extremely well."- Rajesh Sharma, Director of Vidya group of coaching
