I teach Optometry at various academic levels, including Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom), Diploma in Optometry, and Master’s in Optometry (M.Optom). With over 25 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to training and mentoring students to become skilled, confident, and compassionate professionals in the field of eye care. My teaching combines academic depth with practical exposure, helping learners not only understand theoretical concepts but also apply them effectively in real clinical situations.

I hold a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Clinical Optometry, which has provided me with an advanced understanding of vision science, ocular diseases, and clinical diagnostics. My academic journey has always been closely aligned with hands-on clinical work, allowing me to integrate both perspectives seamlessly in my teaching approach. This combination ensures that students gain a well-rounded learning experience — one that equips them for both examinations and real-world patient interactions.

Currently, I serve as the Director of Sahaj Eye Care and Paramedical Institute in Holambi Khurd. In this role, I actively contribute to both clinical practice and academic training, ensuring that my students receive exposure to diverse case studies and practical scenarios. Over the years, I have also worked with reputed eye hospitals, clinics, and academic institutions, which has further strengthened my ability to train students in evidence-based, patient-centered care.

My expertise covers key areas of vision care, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, contact lens fitting, and low vision rehabilitation. These core domains form an essential part of my teaching curriculum, and I ensure that each topic is taught through demonstrations, interactive discussions, and real-world clinical applications. My students often appreciate the clarity and practicality that my classes bring to complex optometry concepts.

I follow a structured, practical-based teaching approach supported by well-prepared lesson plans. Each class includes a mix of theoretical insights, case studies, and hands-on clinical training to build both competence and confidence. I make use of PPTs and videos to visually explain anatomical and optical concepts, ensuring students remain engaged and grasp the material effectively.

My classes are available both online and offline, giving students the flexibility to learn according to their schedule and convenience. For online learners, I make sure that sessions remain interactive and personal, often sharing PDF notes and reference materials for deeper understanding and revision.

Teaching optometry is more than a profession for me — it’s a passion. Watching my students evolve into skilled professionals who make a difference in people’s lives is the most rewarding part of my journey. Through my teaching, I aim to instill not only knowledge but also the values of empathy, precision, and lifelong learning in every aspiring optometrist I train.
