Akhil Kumar

Five years tutoring experience as a Biology teacher for senior secondary and university entrance-level examinations has taught me communicating interactively in simple language, so my students can understand the concepts clearly and easily. I believe in a curiosity driven learning experience. Most importantly, I value integrity and responsibility in my commitments.
I am professionally trained in research and analysis at prestigious IIT Delhi from where I completed master’s thesis titled ‘WGS data analysis to predict Antimicrobial Resistance: Correlation established between phenotypic and genotypic resistance profile of Salmonella enterica isolates’, a one year study.
As research for my master’s project and my internship were both in fields of bioinformatics, I have skills and experience in working with computer tools for the same, e.g. SCADA, web based tools like ResFinder, MLST typing, CSIPhylogeny, genomics and proteomics databases etc. Bioreactor design, bioprocess mathematical modelling, basic biotechnology lab tools, zoology, botany and ecology are some of my other expertise areas.
