Abhyuday Mishra

I am a dedicated teacher of Indian Classical Vocal Music and Acting, with a rich background in theatre, music composition, and yogic practices. My journey began in 2019 through theatre, where I discovered my voice while performing and composing live music for plays. Over time, regular self-practice evolved into a passion for classical music, eventually leading me to formally study at Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, where I scored 92/100 in internal assessment and 50/50 in Praveshika Pratham under Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. My training continues under the guidance of Shri Vivek Bhola ji, disciple of Pt. Madhup Mudgal ji.

I specialize in Khayal, Dhrupad, Bhajan, and Thumri, and I integrate voice projection, resonance, taal awareness, and emotional expression (Rasas) into both my music and acting lessons. My 3-month structured vocal course covers Swar Sadhana, Alankars, Taals, and essential singing techniques. I conduct live online classes for students of all backgrounds, providing personalized feedback, guided practice recordings, and end-of-course performance opportunities.

In parallel, I’ve been an active member of Dramaturgy Theatre Group (Laxmi Nagar) since 2019, contributing as an actor, director, music composer, and live performer. I’ve played diverse roles in productions like Hamlet, Urubhangam, 12 Angry Men, Jab Sheher Hamara Sota Hai, and Oedipus, while also designing music for over 10 original plays. My teaching approach in acting avoids rigid methods; instead, I help each actor discover their own unique style rooted in honesty, body-awareness, and voice.

I integrate classical music and acting training through breathwork, Rasabhaav, and vocal-body alignment practices inspired by yoga. In 2025, I also contributed as assistant director and music head in a Government of India Summer Workshop for school students, preparing a stage version of Rashmirathi for ages 8–16.

My aim as a teacher is not just to train performers, but to nurture artists who are deeply rooted, emotionally present, and confident in their authentic voice.
