I have over two years of teaching experience working with Nursery and KG (UKG) students, where I have gained strong knowledge of early childhood education and child development. Teaching young learners has helped me understand their emotional, social, and academic needs, and I focus on creating a joyful, safe, and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning through play and activities. As a Nursery and KG teacher, I teach core subjects including English, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies (EVS). In English, I focus on building basic language skills through phonics, storytelling, rhymes, picture reading, and interactive speaking activities. I encourage children to speak confidently using show-and-tell, role play, and simple sentence formation. Special attention is given to vocabulary building, listening skills, and correct pronunciation, while respecting each child’s individual learning pace. For Mathematics, I use hands-on and activity-based methods to make learning enjoyable and easy to understand. Concepts such as numbers, counting, shapes, patterns, and basic comparisons are taught using flashcards, games, worksheets, classroom objects, and fun activities. My aim is to develop early logical thinking and problem-solving skills in a stress-free manner. In EVS, I introduce children to their surroundings, family, community helpers, nature, festivals, and healthy habits using charts, pictures, real-life examples, and creative worksheets, helping them connect learning with everyday life. Classroom management is an important part of my teaching role. I maintain discipline with a caring and positive approach, using encouragement, appreciation, and gentle guidance. I understand that every child is unique, so I handle students with patience, empathy, and care, supporting their emotional and behavioral development along with academics. I strongly believe in activity-based and play-way teaching methods. I regularly plan creative activities such as drawing, coloring, craft work, music, dance, and group games to improve fine motor skills, creativity, and teamwork. I also participate in theme-based learning, celebrations, and special day activities to develop social values and cultural awareness. Along with classroom teaching, I am involved in lesson planning, worksheet preparation, assessments, and monitoring student progress. I maintain records and communicate regularly with parents to share feedback on their child’s development. Overall, my experience has helped me become a dedicated, creative, and responsible teacher who is passionate about nurturing young learners and building strong educational foundations.
