I have been teaching students for several years, with a focus on Bengali language and literature, History, Philosophy, and Journalism. I am a published Bengali author and have been writing fiction and non-fiction since 2002. My literary work has a close and continuing engagement with history, philosophy, society, and politics, which also informs the way I teach these subjects. I have also worked as a sub-editor on the news desk of a mainstream print media organisation, where I gained professional experience in news editing, language, reporting, and journalistic writing. My teaching approach focuses on clear understanding, close reading, critical thinking, discussion, and developing the student's own ability to express ideas rather than simply memorizing information.
