Hi! Communication skills refer to an individual's ability to effectively share information, thoughts & feelings with others. It is a two-way process wherein what you express is clearly understood by the other person. Poor communication skills are when an individual cannot express themselves properly, leading to a variance between what is said & what was understood. Good communication skills are not inherent and can be acquired & mastered at any point in time! I hope that helped! read less

Contrary to what most people will tell you, poor communication usually begins with poor listening skills. Start there and the rest will fall into place. A good grasp of the subject being communicated is also helpful.
