Nova Chess Academy

I am the founder of NOVA Chess Academy, where I have been training students in chess for the past 5 years. My focus is on developing strategic thinking, enhancing game analysis skills, and preparing students for tournaments at all levels. I am passionate about helping each student discover their potential and grow both as a chess player and as a thinker.

At NOVA Chess Academy, our mission is to bring out the best in every player. We give individual attention to each student, recognizing their unique talents and strengths. I believe that chess is not just a game but a powerful tool to build concentration, patience, and decision-making skills, which are valuable in every aspect of life.

I lead a dedicated team of three trainers. I have 6 years of experience in chess coaching, while my colleagues each bring 3 years of teaching expertise. Together, we create a well-rounded learning environment that caters to beginners as well as advanced players, ensuring that every student receives the guidance they need to improve.

Our training approach is structured yet engaging. We conduct sessions that focus on foundational skills, strategic planning, and analyzing games. Each lesson is designed to challenge students while keeping the learning process enjoyable and interactive. I ensure that students receive personalized coaching to help them enhance their gameplay and prepare for competitions effectively.

Over the years, our students have achieved remarkable success. From Asian Silver and Gold Medalists to members of World Youth Olympiad-winning teams, many have excelled at state, national, and international levels. These achievements are a reflection of the hard work, discipline, and talent of our students, guided by consistent coaching and mentorship.

I have had the privilege of coaching players who have represented Tamil Nadu at state and national levels and competed in numerous FIDE-rated international tournaments. My own experience as a competitive chess player and certified FIDE Developmental Instructor allows me to provide practical insights, helping students understand advanced strategies and positional play.

At NOVA Chess Academy, my goal is to create a supportive environment where students not only become skilled chess players but also develop critical thinking, confidence, and a love for the game. I am committed to nurturing talent and helping every student reach their highest potential, both on and off the chessboard.
