Accounting for Beginners

Course objective:

This 3 hours course is designed to inculcate the fundamental knowledge in Accounting for buddy accountants. This course will help them to handle basic accounting needs of a junior level positions for accountants.

Basic concepts of Accounting - Need & importance of accounting - Accounting Equation - General journal - Special journals : Purchase, Sales, Purchase returns, Sales returns, Bills receivable, Bills payable - Trial balance - Rectification of errors - Bank reconciliation statement  - Bills of exchange - Financial statements of a proprietary business : Trading , profit and loss account, Balance sheet 

Financial statment analysis : Comparative balance sheet - Comparative profit & loss statement - Common size balance sheet - Common size profit & loss statement - Ratio analysis.
