Instead of owning their own computing infrastructure or data centers, individuals or organizations can rent access to anything from applications to storage from a cloud service provider. An example of cloud computing is using a service like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to host a website. Instead of buying and maintaining servers, setting up networking, and managing the infrastructure, a company can simply rent server space and bandwidth from one of these providers. They can then deploy their website on these servers, scale resources up or down as needed, and only pay for what they use. This model provides flexibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness compared to traditional IT infrastructure management. read less
