Hi Venkat, my apologies for delayed response. First we need to understand your expertise and experience before gng to AWS and Azure. Cloud computing is not for everyone one as its a combination of Server, network, storage, backup, database, coding, etc. I suggest you to discuss this first and proceed further.

If you want to understand cloud technology basics, I would recommend that you take the Rackspace CloudU certification. This does not cost any money and it will lay the foundation of cloud technology and then deliver a vendor neutral certificate. There are 10 modules, all self paced followed by a final exam. You have to score 80% in each module and the final exam to get your certificate. I did it a couple of days ago. Once you have your foundation, then you have to decide whether to go for a vendor neutral course or to go for AWS or Azure - both and top of the line. Comptia has vendor neutral cloud certs as does CSA. Before you spend money on teachers (like me) and certs, understand the fundamentals as given in CloudU. Python will always be useful to you - particularly if you want to get into serverless architecture like AWS Lambda. Good luck, Kishore.

You can create as many virtual machine called instances as you wish either in default vpc (virtual private cloud). You can define your own network, and can make it public or private. There is no code required for this.

Digisparks | 14 Mar

Virtual machines can be placed on different hosts using the Cloud middleware (such as Open stack). If you are doing a simulation in Java, then you can use a tool called Cloud Sim for virtual machine placements.

It is combination of Cloud + Computing. Cloud is a word which is inspired by a symbol we use to represent internet and computing means all computing resources like server, memory, etc. So, In cloud computing user can use all the computing resources via internet and pay as he much use the resources.

### What Cloud Computing is ? ### Cloud computing is a new buzzword in computing terms and it is associated with various definitions. In this book we focus on two definitions: the first is provided by the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) and the second is provided by an EU study of the future directions of Clouds The main reasons for analyzing these definitions in particular are: # The good reputation of the organizations behind the definitions. For example, the EU study was edited by representatives of leading universities and industrial bodies such as Oracle, Google, Microsoft, and IBM. # We found thsse definitions to be unique, such that their combination provides the most important elements of Cloud as covered throughout this book. # NIST defines Cloud as a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. Although both definitions come from reputable organizations, they are not consistent. This is not to say that either of them is wrong, but they are incomplete. Both definitions reveal many important keywords reflecting Clouds capabilities; however, a careful analysis of these definitions shows they only have one keyword in common. The first definition uses ‚??rapidly provisioned and released‚?? while the second definition uses ‚??elastic execution.‚?? These two keywords have the same objective. However, other keywords are not the same, for example ‚??minimal management effort‚?? as stated by the NIST definition is not stated anywhere in the EU definition. Similarly, the EU definition uses the keyword ‚??metered service‚?? which is again not stated anywhere in the NIST definition.
