If an object such as a cylinder rolls without slipping on the surface (we call this pure rolling motion), a simple relationship exists between its rotational and translational motions.

When an object experiences pure rolling motion the point of the object in contact with the surface is instantaneously at rest.

Pure rolling means there will be no slipping and skidding.

The moment at which there is no sliding and no skidding b/w body and contact sueface. Also transational speed of c.m of the body =r*omega.

There should be no sliding and no skidding b/w the body and surfave. Also translation speed of c.m = r*omega

In pure rolling motion, friction causes the wheel to catch and stops the sliding and slipping motion; for example when a car spins its tires, slipping is taking place, thus the frictional force works to stop the spinning out and causes the tires to catch and begin pure rolling motion.

What is Pure Rolling : Rolling is a type of motion that combines rotation and translation of that object with respect to a surface , such that, if ideal conditions exist, the two are in contact with each other without sliding. Rolling is achieved by a rotational speed at the line or point of contact which is equal to the translational speed. When no sliding takes place the rolling motion is referred to as 'pure rolling'. Nevertheless, rolling resistance is much lower than sliding friction, and thus, rolling objects, typically require much less energ yto be moved than sliding ones. As a result, such objects will more easily move. One of the most practical applications of rolling objects is the use of Rolling-element bearings, such as ball bearings, in rotating devices. read less

Dear students Differentiate x power underroot 2 with respect to x. Got rewarded by answering early.
first take y= x^(root 2) then taking log both the sides log y= (root 2) log x now diff w.r.to x 1/y (dy/dx)= (root 2) 1/x so dy/dx= y (root 2/x) now by putting y's value here dy/dx= x^(root 2)* (root 2/x)
