collodion is a flammable, syrupy solution of pyroxylin in ether and alcohol. There are two basic types: flexible; non-flexible. The flexible type is often used as a surgical dressing or to hold dressings in place.

Work is done if there is any displacement occurs that is there is change in position of the body on which force exerted so unless there is no motion done for example you are trying to push a heavy block...
