Then comes FA 2 consisting of project, cw/hw, class performance , viva etc These are followed by SA 1 which is again written examination of 90 marks. 10% weightage is given to Each FA = 20% 30% weightage is given to SA. = 30% SO TOTAL WEIGHTAGE RECEIVED BY A STUDENT TILL MIDDLE OF THE SESSION IS 50 %. THE SAME THING FOLLOWS FOR THE NEST HALF OF THE SECCION. WHICH SUM UP TO 100%. This is Called the CCE pattern. In this pattern a students final result depends on the whole years performence and not just by a single written test at the end of the year. read less

Summative assessment is used as an evaluation technique in instructional design. It can provide information on an intervention's efficacy (its ability to do what it was designed to do). Summative evaluation judges the worth, or value, of an intervention at its conclusion where as formative assessment including diagnostic testing is a range of formal and informal assessment procedures conducted by teachers during the learning process in order to modify teaching and learning activities to improve student attainment.[1] It typically involves qualitative feedback (rather than scores) for both student and teacher that focuses on the details of content and performance.[2] It is commonly contrasted with summative assessment, which seeks to monitor educational outcomes, often for purposes of external accountability. read less
