If it is stated that â??Rahul is 40 year old, Mohan is 6 ft tall, Rahim is 50 kg of weightâ?? then will these number be called statistics?

Sujoy Das

These numbers will not be called statistics as they are neither mutually related nor comparable. In order to compare the data, it is essential that statistics are uniform in quality. Data of different qualities and kinds cannot be compared.

‘Statistical methods are most dangerous tools in the hands of an inexpert.’ Which limitation of statistics does it indicate?

It indicates that statistics can be used only by those persons who have special knowledge of statistical methods. Because those who are ignorant about these methods cannot make sensible use of statistics and leading to dangerous consequences.
