The above equation is a simplified version of F = q (v X B). Where v and B are vectors and q is a scalar. As you know any vector has magnitude and direction whereas scalars have only magnitude. The above equation is a simplified version of F = q (v X B). Where v and B are vectors and q is a scalar. As you know any vector has magnitude and direction whereas scalars have only magnitude. Whenever there is a cross product between two vectors then the direction of resultant vector is perpendicular to the plane formed by two vectors whose cross product is carried out. So, F as a vector would be perpendicular to both v and B vector. But the equation given is for the magnitude of F not the direction. So, strictly speaking the answer would be none of these. Now, if the question has multiple answers then you will go with F and v and F and B. Whereas if it has single answer then go with none of these. read less

Also q being a scalar has no effect on the direction of F

Hi friends, please post the solution for following problem. If, (root X) + Y = 11 X + (root Y) =7 Then X , Y = ?
If we use the proper method, the solution is very lengthy and also it involves polynomial to the power 4. However, if we use hit and trial method, it becomes very easy. sqrt x + y =11, sqrt y + x =7,...

If (x+a)(x+1991) + 1 Can Be Factored As (x+b)(x+c) Where B,C Are Integers Then Find The Sum Of All Possible Integral Values Of A?
Answer: Method 1: x^2+(1991+a)x+1991a+1 Now for integers d should be either 0 or perfect square so, (1991+a)^2-4*1991a-4 (1991-a)^2-4 (1989-a)(1993-a) They both can be equal so for d = 0 a = 1989,...
