Yes Raj, Earth's frame of motion or Newtonian motion has fixed and limited dimensions. But while considering movement of particle in outer space, we obviously have to consider other dimensions. Moreover, relativity theory also plays a major role in explaining such complex environment.

Yes there are additional dimensions in universe. According to string theory there are 26 dimensions in bosonic string theory. For M-theory 11 dimensions suffices.

Here the metric is more complicated. 3. Infinite dimensional Hilbert space having length of any vector unity. This space is used to represent all possible physical states in the limit of quantum mechanics which do not have classical analogues. read less
