"Mean" is just an average which you can calculate by adding all the numbers or observation and divide it by the number of numbers or observation and "Median" is the mid value which is given in the list of numbers or observations.

Mean is total sum divided by the total number and median is term for median data should be in ascending order for odd term pick the n+1/2 term and for even find n/2, n/2 +1 term add them and divide by 2.
