Current is rate of flow of charges in particular time. It may be flow of electron or flow of Proton. Because in Semi Conductors current get flow because of movement of positive charges too.

Current is the flow of electricity. Actually electron flows (takes part) in it. But conventionally, the direction of the current is opposite to the direction of the flow of electron. DC and AC are two types of current. In DC, the current remains constant with time whereas in AC, it varies.
