The greatest 5 digit number is 99999 since the number should be divisible by12, 15, 36 it should also be divisible by the lcm of 12,15,36.as lcm of these number is 180 so simply divide 99999 by 180. After dividing subtract the remainder from 99999.your answer will be 99900

Let us first L.C.M. of 12,15,36 is 180. We all know the greatest 5 digit no. is 99999. When 99999 is divided by 180 then quotient is 555.55 and remainder is 99 So, greatest 5 digit no. exactly divisible by 12,15,36 is 99999-99=99900. Thank you.

Find out the lcm of three numbers 12,15,36. LCM = 180 Largest 5 digit number is 99999. Now divide this num by lcm obtained i.e. 99999/180 , remainder = 99 Now, 99999-99=99900 So, 99900 is the answer.
