Both of them have the same chemical formula i. e; C12 H22 O11 but Sucrose is a dissacharide formed by the combination of Glucose and Fructose whereas Maltose is formed by the combination of two units of glucose itself.

Sucrose and Maltose both are disaccharides having the same molecular formula C12H22O11 but they differ structurally.Sucrose(glu+fruc) have alpha 1-Beta 2 glycosidic linkage while Maltose(glu+glu) have alpha(1-4) linkage.
