BF3, atom B has only six electrons sharing with the F atoms. So it is an electron deficient compound and so it is a lewis acid.

in BF3 , B has only 6 electron, ie octet is not completed, so bf3 can accept lone pair.therefore it behaves as lewis acid

In BF3, central atom has only six electrons after sharing with the electrons of the F atoms. It is an electron deficient compound and thus behaves as a Lewis acid.

In Borantrifluoride boran is with vacant orbital according to Lewis theory the elements ir ions with vacant orbitals act as Lewis acids

Because it is electron deficient compund as the octet of boron is not satisfied

Because Boron is 13th group element and it is trivalent.. after forming three bonds with fluorine, the total number of electrons will be 6. Therefore to complete the octet configuration, it will accept a pair of electrons. According to Lewis concept, electron pair acceptors are called Acids.. so BF3...
