Chromite: Chromite ore, which contains iron and chromium, can also be concentrated by magnetic separation. Manganese ores: Some manganese ores contain ferromagnetic minerals such as pyrolusite (MnO2), and these can be separated using magnetic separation. Wolframite and Cassiterite: These ores contain minerals such as ferberite and cassiterite, which are amenable to magnetic separation for concentration. Nickel ores: Certain nickel ores containing magnetic minerals like pentlandite can also be concentrated using magnetic separation. It's important to note that not all ores are suitable for magnetic separation. The effectiveness of the method depends on the magnetic properties of the minerals present in the ore.
