Power theft and faulty equipments are the major reasons of distribution related losses transmission losses can be reduced by using better equipments and regular maintenance of transmission lines distribution losses can be reduced by preventing power theft and by reducing subsidies.

These lossess can be reduced by: - 1. Replacing incorrectly sized transformers, 2. Improving the connection quality of conductors (power lines), and 3.
