Last year, you studied linear equations and linear inequities in two variables (along
with their solutions) graphically. You know that linear programming is one of the best
methods of performing optimisation by making some simple assumptions. In NCERT
Class 12, Maths, Chapter 12, you’ll learn how to apply the systems of linear inequalities
and equations to solve real-life problems. In this chapter, you’ll study about Linear
Programming and problems related to linear programming. A Linear programming
problem is one that involves finding the optimal (either maximum or minimum) value
of a linear function of variables called objective function.
