In alkali metals, on moving down the group, the atomic size increases and the effective nuclear charge decreases. Because of these factors, the outermost electron in potassium can be lost easily as compared to sodium. Hence, potassium is more reactive than sodium.
Comments

The distance between the valence electron and the nucleus is less in sodium than potassium. So sodium has a greater electrostatic force between nucleus and valence electrons which doesn't let it lose electrons easily. Whereas, in potassium, due to the weaker electrostatic force than sodium, it can lose...

Now Chemistry will no longer be a hurdle in your exams.

Atomic size of pottasium is greater than that of sodium so force of attraction between outermost electrons and nucleus is less as compared to sodium so K easily loses electrons to make bonds with other atom that is K is more reactive than Na
