The following examples support the statement (i) Low salary An average nine out of ten workers of unorganised sector received wages below the national minimum wage during 2004-05. (ii) Long working hours In most construction sites, labourers have to work for a time spread over 9-10 hours in a day. (iii) Temporary jobs On an average, a farm labourer finds employment for less than 200 days in a year. (iv) No facilities and benefits Many construction companies do not provide proper management for their security and facilities at worksite. read less
