If we do not consider school time then i think 3-4 hours per day study is sufficient. Sports activities or physical fitness are the things which can make you healthy physically and mentally so if anyone is concious about these activities then 3-4 hours study is enough to score very good marks.

It all depents upon you If you are a fast learner than 2 hours per day are sufficient for you. But if you are a slow learner you need to give more time on self study.

Time is not important, when you do what you like eg. Playing cricket etc. You dont keep track of time. So i insist that you learn with passion and urge to learn something new. If you do this reading for 1 hour is also enough.
