Here are some common types of forces: Gravity: A force of attraction between objects with mass. It's responsible for keeping planets in orbit around stars and objects on Earth's surface. Normal Force: The force exerted by a surface to support the weight of an object resting on it. It acts perpendicular to the surface. Friction: The force that opposes the motion of objects in contact with each other. It arises due to the roughness of surfaces. Tension: The force exerted by a string, cable, or any other type of flexible connector pulling on an object. Applied Force: A force applied to an object by a person or another object. Spring Force: The force exerted by a compressed or stretched spring when it's displaced from its equilibrium position. Electromagnetic Force: The force between electrically charged particles and magnets. It's responsible for phenomena such as magnetism and electricity. The unit of force is the Newton (N), named after Sir Isaac Newton.
