On the auspicious morning of 26th Jan, our school celebrated Republic Day in the school premises. It was the matter of great pride for all of us. Needless to say, the whole school had worn the appearance of a beautiful bride. The Principal, teachers and the students didn't want to leave any stone unturned in making this monumental day a memorable one. The secretary of our school along with other members of the management committee of our school was the Chief Guest. He came on time. He was warmly welcomed by the whole staff led by our Principal. There our hon'ble guest unfurled the national flag. After that everybody stood straight for National Anthem sung by the students. Then there were parades by NCC cadets of the school. After this, students presented cultural items. These cultural items included patriotic songs, folk dances and speeches. One girl sang a song, " e mere watan ke logon..." in a very melodious voice. Everybody liked that song. Some students also presented skit based on fight against terrorism. The message of the skit was to convey that India would not tolerate the terrorist activities in the country and our brave soldiers were ready to fight terrorism tooth and nail. With a couple more cultural items, the function ended with national anthem. Towards the end, all the people there flew colored balloons symbolizing prosperity and peace. Our joy knew no limit when our Principal announced the next day's holiday. Despite weather being inclement, we enjoyed Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Along with other students, I will never forget this wonderful day. read less

Write a Report on Republic Day Celebration in your College or School. Reported By “Your Name” Like every year, this year, also all the students and faculty members of our XYZ School/College had organized a grand program on the occasion of this Republic Day. Everyone was feeling very happy that day because it was a matter of great pride for all of us because on 26 January 1950 the constitution of India came into force and our country, India became a republic. The program started with prayer at 8:00am. After that, parade and flag hoisting took place on the college/school grounds as usual. The Principal of our college/school hoisted the national flag and gave a motivational speech on the topic “Youth Power”. This was followed by some speeches on patriotism and singing the national anthem. Many students also did different types of programs. On that day the campus of our college/school was decorated by the students with charts, models, slogans, poems. Pictures that depict the development of India from independence. All the students were dressed in traditional costumes representing different parts of India. In the end, the program was concluded by distributing sweet boxes to all the students. read less

Republic Day celebrations held at my college. In India, Republic Day is celebrated every year with grandeur. It unites the country as a whole and irrespective of the cast, creed, colour or religion, Indians come together with lots of zeal and fervour. It truly shows the diversity of our country. The capital city of India, New Delhi, commends it with a magnificent Republic Day Parade that exhibits the might of the Indian Military and the social diversity of our nation. The motorcade starts after the President of India, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed powers, unfurls our national flag. One of the principal elements of the Parade is to honour the martyrs who have forfeited their lives for the country by showing courage in the face of adversity. On 26 January 1950, three years post-independence, India turned into a secular, sovereign, socialist and a democratic republic. The first meeting of the Indian Parliament was also held on this day. 26th January, additionally saw the swearing-in of India's first president, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. Consequently, this day is vital as it marks the end of the British rule and birth of India as a Republic State. The most significant and grand parade is held at Rajpath in New Delhi, which exhibits a multi-toned picture of the country's rich social heritage and military ability. This procession is presided over by the President of India. The Prime Minister of India first lays a wreath at the Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate, in memory of all people from the military who surrendered their life for the country. Thereafter, 21-gun salute, unfurling of the National Flag and singing of the National Anthem take place. At our colleges, Republic Day is celebrated with great vigour and enthusiasm. From adorning the educational premises with ribbons and flags to organising functions and events, each and every one observes this day with pride. Apart from that, children and teachers give thought-provoking speeches and essays about the importance of Republic Day are also written by the students. Finally the function ends with distribution of sweets to all students and singing of national anthem. read less

Why are books referred to as a man’s best companion? Which is your favourite book and why? Write a paragraph about that book.
Books are referred to as a man’s best companion because they guide us, teach us, make us laugh, make us cry, make us introspect, and help us to become a better version of ourselves. Books are the companions who will never leave us.
