3 examples of erctangular prisms

THE CUBOID IS AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE DIAGRAMS

# It has 6 rectangular surfaces

#It has 12 edges and 8 vertices.

TOTAL SURFACE AREA OF CUBOID:-

If Length of Cuboid= l

Breadth(width) of Cuboid= b

Height of Cuboid= h

Then , Total surface Area of Cuboid = 2( lxb + bxh +hxl) square units

Ex:-

If Length of Cuboid= l = 20cm

Breadth(width) of Cuboid= b = 10cm

Height of Cuboid= h= 8cm

Then , Total surface Area of Cuboid = 2( lxb + bxh +hxl)

                                                    = 2 ( 20x10 + 10x8 + 8x20)  cm2

                                                    = 2 (200 + 90 +160)  cm2

                                                     = 2 x 450 cm2

                                                     =600 cm2
